MAN ARRESTED IN SUSPECT OF LOCAL POLITICIAN’S MURDER
Michael Fraker was arrested this afternoon in a friend’s West Oakland home under suspicion of the murder of Oakland city councilman Jose Gallo. Fraker, 27, has been on the run since shooting the local politician the night of November 7th.
Fraker, whose fingerprints were found on the shattered glass at the councilman’s home, has been a suspect since the beginning of the investigation, Oakland police say. The police were finally able to track him down this afternoon to 11th and Willow Street, where he was hiding in the basement of a friend’s apartment building. Fraker has been taken into custody and faces charges of third degree murder.

MAN NON-FATALLY SHOT BY WIFE IN DOMESTIC DISPUTE
Tyler Johnson, a 36-year-old Oakland resident, was shot twice in the arm by his wife, Rebecca Johnson, this afternoon when she came home to find him having an affair. Johnson was rushed to the hospital when his mistress called 911 after she ran out of the Johnson’s house. He did not sustain serious injuries, and his wife has been taken into custody under on the count of attempted murder.

HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS ARRESTED FOR MARIJUANA POSSESSION
At 11:20, Oakland Police arrested 17-year-olds Matt Fahey and Nate Parker for trespassing and illegal marijuana possession. The Skyline High School seniors were smoking marijuana in a driveway on International Boulevard near 10th Avenue. The homeowner whose driveway the boys were using noticed the boys in her driveway and that they were using a bong, and she called the police. Police arrived at the house and found both Fahey and Parker were in possession of gram of marijuana. The boys were taken to the nearby police station and were released when their parents arrived to pick them up and pay the $100 fine for underage possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
